Arnav Bishnoi and Ashwajit Senjam lifted the boys under-18 doubles title in the .CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here on Thursday.
(MOREPIC1)(MOREPIC2)In the doubles final they defeated Ojas Mehlawat and Gurbaaz Narang 6-2, 6-4 in straight sets. In the boys under-16 doubles final Devansh Parajuli and Parmarth Kaushik defeated Haralam Singh and Tejas Kosla 6-2, 6-3.
Arntya Ohlyan and Aasharvya Mehra moved into finals in the boys under-18 singles. Arntya defeated Ashwajit Senjam in a 3 setter marathon match. Arntya and Ashwajit played high level tennis. Arntya won the first set 7-6(5). Ashwajit fought back and took the second set 6-2.
In the final set Arntya used his experience and closed the set and match in tie break 7-6 (5). Arntya will play Aashravya Mehra in finals tomorrow.
In the Boys under-16 singles Semifinals top seed Sumukh Marya defeated Aditya Bikram Acharya 6-3, 7-5in straight sets. In the another Semifinals Devansh Parajuli won from Abhinav Choudhary 6-4, 6-2 in straight sets.
Vanya Arora and Bhumi Kakkar advanced into finals in the Girls under-18 singles. Vanya defeated Sidak Kaur 6-1, 6-0 in straight sets. Vanya Arora played solid match and dominant with her attacking game style throughout the match. In the another Semifinals Bhumi Kakkar won from Rubani Kaur Sidhu in a 3 setter match 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
In the Girls under-16 singles Semifinals top seed Rubani Kaur Sidhu defeated Priyanshi Katial 6-2, 6-2. Rubani will play Vanshika Yadav in Girls under-16 singles final tomorrow. Vanshika Yadav upset 2nd seed Sidak Kaur 2-6, 7-5, 6-2 in a 3 setter match.
