More than 17,000 runners from five continents, 16 nations and 50 States of USA took part in the 2023 OneAmerica Mini Marathon. New course records were written, Iconic memories were made, and personal bests were conquered.
Former Chandigarh tennis player Simmi Hedegard was among the walkers in the 40-44 female category.

An elated Danish-American Anita Lerche , a singer-songwriter, composer and actress, expressed her feelings “As you can see I ran the Indy Half Marathon (13.1 miles) with a smile on my face and in the spirit of Chardikala. Preparations started in January and our time was 2:10. Running is extremely good for mental & physical health, and for my singing 🎶🎤 I am ready for the next challenge “
She said “It was an absolutely fantastic feeling running my first Half Marathon race. Loved running with my man (Soren Hjorth). Live music in so many genres including Hawaiian along the whole 13.1 miles and it was unique to get to run on the track of Indianapolis Motor Speedway-Indy 500!! Just a brilliant experience!! “
