Marathons were organized by Procam Slam in Bangalore, Mumbai, Calcutta and New Delhi. In which local resident Deepak Bansal participated and won the medal. MLA Sandeep Jakhar honored Deepak Bansal for bringing fame to Abohar.
(MOREPIC1)Jakhar said that Deepak has been continuously participating in marathons across the country for the last few years. With the aim of leading the youth towards sports away from drugs, he has formed Abohar Fitness Lovers Club, in which he organises marathons, makes people aware of cycling, race etc. Jakhar said that Deepak’s team also participates in the marathon organized by The Jakhar Trust every year. He appealed to all to get inspired by Deepak and being aware of health, they must continue to participate in sports, marathon races etc.
Significantly, Deepak had brought laurels to Abohar by participating in the 10 km virtual marathon organized by Guinness World Book in Germany. He has previously participated in more than 20 international marathons including Leh-Ladakh 21 kms, Mumbai 42 kms, 21 kms, Kolkata 25 kms, New Delhi 21 kms.
