ROYAL PHANTOMS WERE DEFEATED BY 19 RUNS, SHIVEIN RAKHEJA PLAYED AN INNING OF 85 RUNS.

Trident Stallions opened the points table with a thumping win in the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup. The team defeated Royal Phantoms by 19 runs. In the match, Trident Stallions scored 199 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target of 200 runs, Royal Phantoms could only manage 180/9.

In the match played at IS Bindra Stadium, Trident Stallions won the toss and decided to bat first. Shivein Rakheja batted with pace, but Vihaan returned after scoring 17 runs. Shivein played a blistering inning of 85 off 47 balls to put the team in a strong position. Nehal Vadera scored 44 and skipper Gurkeerat Mann scored 17 to take the team to 199/7 in 20 overs. Kuljeet took 2 wickets. Gaurav and Harpreet got 1-1 wicket.

Chasing the target of 200 runs, the Royal Phantoms could manage only 180 runs for 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Aditya Pratap Singh and Abhinav Sharma scored 31-31 runs. Harshdeep Singh bowled brilliantly for Trident Stallions. He dismissed 3 batsmen for 26 runs and Garv Kumar took 3 wickets in the last over. Aryaman Singh got two, while Manpreet Singh Chauhan got 1 wicket.
