In the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup, Trident Stallions continued their winning streak to strengthen their contention for the knockouts. In the cup, Team Trident defeated Hampton Stallions for the second time in a row. On 20 July Trident beat Falcons by 7 wickets and now Team Trident registered a 6 wicket win. Nehal Wadhera was the star of the victory. He hit a half-century and sealed the victory by hitting a six off the last ball.
In the match played at the IS Bindra Stadium, Hampton Falcons won the toss and elected to bat first. Trident proved this decision wrong and did not give them a chance to score runs.
