In a major breakthrough, PO & Summon staff of Chandigarh Police under the directions of SSP U.T. Chandigarh and SP City, U.T., Chandigarh in the supervision of Sh. Vikas Sheokand, Dy. SP DCC and team headed by Sh. Hari Om Sharma, Inspector/Incharge PO & Summon staff is able to arrest a proclaimed offender PO involved 4 years old case.
Arrest of Accused/Proclaimed Offender: – With the help of collection of information from different sources (technical & human) and a day/night search. The absconder /proclaimed offender has been arrested with secret information of informer and all the sincere efforts made by ASI Rajpal 3170/CP, Sr. C. Hardeep Singh 2506/CP, Sr. C. Sandeep 3624/CP and L/C Sonia 4527/CP.
The Master Technical & Monitoring Cell of Chandigarh Police provided continuous assistance to locate the accused and helped the police officials of PO & Summon Staff to apprehend the accused.
The state case PO namely Leelawati @ Neelam W/o Sh. Virender R/o # 1, Sector-19, Panchkula, Haryana has been arrested from Sector-19, Panchkula, Haryana in case FIR No. 90 dated 29.05.2019, U/s 420, 411 IPC, PS Maloya, Chandigarh.
The case was registered on the complaint of Raju Yadav S/o Late Sh. Mishri Yadav R/o # 375, C.S. Colony, Mauli Jagarn, Chandigarh, who reported that a lady namely Neelam who was their known, tempted his wife namely Saroj and his wife gave Rs. 49000/- cash, silver jewelry and registry paper of his plot to that lady to make them double with in nine months. But after nine months she started to make lame excuses and later refused to return anything.
Later the case was registered against accused, who got absent before the court and declared PO by the court of Sh. Jaspreet Singh Minhas, JMIC, Chandigarh vide order dated 08.06.2023. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody
