WOMEN SPORTS MEET HELD TO FOSTER SPORTSMANSHIP AND PROMOTE ACTIVE EMPLOYEE PARTICIPATION IN VARIOUS GAMES.

The Engineering Department, U.T., Chandigarh, proudly commenced its first-ever Women Sports Meet on Saturday, at the Sports Complex, Sector 34, with a captivating opening ceremony led by Shri C.B. Ojha, Chief Engineer, U.T., Chandigarh. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed officers from various wings of the Engineering Department. The primary motive behind the sports meet is to foster sportsmanship and promote active employee participation in various games.

The Women Sports Meet began with an exhilarating Badminton match played among eight teams meticulously selected from different wings of the Engineering Department. After intense competition, four teams emerged as the Semi-Finalists, who will compete on  Sunday.

(SUBHEAD)The Semi-Final match-ups will be Mohini & Meena vs. Simranjit & Monica and Vandana & Kumari Neetu vs. Sapna & Twinkle. Shri C.B.Ojha said that we are thrilled to witness the enthusiasm and positive attitude displayed by all the women employees during the opening ceremony.

The Women Sports Meet is a fantastic opportunity for our staff to come together, enjoy competitive sports, and embrace the values of sportsmanship.

Scheduled on weekends, the Women Sports Meet ensures minimal disruption to office work while providing ample opportunities for employees to engage in sports and recreational activities. The Engineering Department firmly believes that such initiatives not only contribute to physical fitness but also enhance team bonding and employee morale.
