Police on Saturday late nigh raided on a Club service Hukah despite Ban order by Distt. Magisterate and seized 7 hookahs from the spot. Police also taken into custody four persons including Manager of the Club.
Police said two employees of the club were caught red handed while serving hookah to the customers..
It is said that the police had received information that hookah is being served to the people in Panchkula's Insan Club despite the ban. Upon receiving information the police immediately became active and reached the club to raid. Hookah was being served in the club. While raiding the club, the police nabbed two men red-handed while serving hookah. After this, in further action, 4 people including the Manager were taken into custody.
Dozens of complaints have been received from time to time about hookah serving in Panchkula clubs and nicotine being found in them, and the police have also taken action,
Recently, DCP Sumer Pratap Singh had completely banned Hukaahs under section 144 of CRPC.
