As many as 1100 saplings have so far been planted in the divider of the state highway near Balaji Temple here under the campaign “Apna Abohar, Apni Abha” supported by the Jakhar Trust.

MLA Sandeep Jakhar said that to enhance the beauty of the city, this project has been taken up. The plantation and green color cover will give an eye-pleasing look to the people who enter Abohar from the city bypass.

Abohar's name has been removed from the dirty cities list. There has been a lot of improvement in cleanliness, but more needs to be done, which is possible only when they completely stop using single-use plastic to ensure smooth working of the waste water disposal system.

Abohar Municipal Corporation has got first rank among all the corporations in the state in Swachhta Abhiyan, contribution of Apna Abohar Apni Abha team was visible. Divya Jyoti Sanstha members served refreshments to the volunteers on the occasion.
