VB NABS PSPCL LINEMAN FOR DEMANDING BRIBE OF RS 5000

Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) on Sunday nabbed PSPCL's Lineman, Dilbagh Singh, posted at sub division Amarkot in Tarn Taran district for demanding a bribe of Rs 5000.

An official spokesperson of the VB said that Karamjit Singh resident of village Valtoha of tehsil Patti (Tarn Taran) lodged a complaint on Anti Corruption Portal on 14-07-2023 that Gurnam Singh resident of the same village had approached the accused Lineman to exchange the single phase transformer and the Lineman Dilbagh Singh demanded a bribe of Rs 5000 from him for the same. The complainant also produced a audio recording of the accused official.

After investigation of the complaint, a team of VB today arrested the Lineman Dilbagh Singh after registering an FIR no 27 dated 13-08-2023 against him at Police Station VB, Amritsar Range, he added.
