ONLINE ORIENTATION SESSION OF BUSINESS BLASTERS PROGRAM ORGANIZED FOR TEACHERS OF ALL GOVT SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS

BUSINESS BLASTERS PROGRAM AIMS TO BUILD ENTREPRENEURSHIP MINDSET IN THE STUDENTS

To equip teachers with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively mentor, facilitate and guide students through experiential learning techniques and to provide an in-depth overview of the program, an online orientation session regarding the Business Blasters Program was organized today for teachers of all Government Senior Secondary Schools (GSSS) across Punjab.

Divulging further details in this regard, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that the core objective of the session was to empower teachers as mentors, facilitators and coaches, enabling them to guide students in understanding the significance and objectives of the Business Blasters Program. This initiative aims to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among 11th grade students through practical learning methods, equipping them with 21st century skills to tackle the challenges of the modern era.

(SUBHEAD)He said that the program was aimed to nurture essential skills such as risk-taking and decision-making, allowing students to develop their viable business ideas with the guidance of both teachers and industry experts, supported by seed funding. The online orientation witnessed active participation from teachers across Punjab, with over 2000 schools and nearly 8500 individuals joining the session via live streaming on YouTube.

The Education Minister said that the session encompassed various key topics including an overview of the Business Blasters 2022-23 pilot program, insights into the roadmap for the Business Blasters 2023-24 pilot program and detailed discussions on the program's objectives, features, scale, timeline and significance. The session also delved into the insights and learnings drawn from the successful pilot program.

Harjot Singh Bains highlighted that total 220 master trainers would provide offline training to around 8500 teachers at both district and block levels. This training will equip teachers with the necessary skills to conduct classroom activities for nearly two lakhs students of 11th standard, ensuring the seamless implementation of the project within the designated timeline.

The Education Minister expressed his confidence in the teachers' ability to shape the entrepreneurial journey of students, instilling in them the values of innovation, adaptability and perseverance. He reiterated that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led government is committed to empower the youth of the state to thrive in the evolving global landscape.
