The team of Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh busted a nexus of Humantrafficking racket indulges sexual exploitation of interstate women. 01 girl who belongs to MP rescued from hotel. Three persons (all male) arrested so far.
On secret information the team of police station-36 had busted agangofHuman Trafficking who used to lure other state women to work in Chandigarhandbrought them from various region/state of India to Chandigarh andgot theminvolved in sexual exploitation. A Case FIR no- 264 dated 20.8.23 U/S 370,370A (ii),120B IPChasbeenregistered at Police Station 36 and investigation is going on.
The inputs were being received regarding the sexual exploitation of interstate trafficked women at hotels in Village Kajheri, Chandigarh. Working on the directionsofSenior Officers Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT Chandigarh and Sh. Mridul, IPS, SP City, a special team under the supervision of Sh. Charanjit Singh Virk, SDPO/SouthWest & headed by Inspector Om Parkash SHO/PS-36 comprising of SI Gurjiwan1068/CHG I/C PP-61 , SI Naveen Kumar I/C PP-43, L/SI Asha Devi 1280/CHG, HCNarender Kumar 1229/CP, Ct Sandeep Kumar 4974/CP, Sr C Jaiveer 3607/CP, CSunil Kumar 4901/CP , L/C Deepak Kumari 92/CP along with teamof Women & Child help line sector 26, Chandigarh raided at hotel Maan Vill Kajheri, Sector 52, Chandigarh, where trafficked interstate women were kept in hotel for sexual exploitation.
(SUBHEAD)The team rescued 01 girl from the hotel which was being sexual exploited accused namely Sunil Kumar S/o Vishwanath R/o Vill. Karmethi, Distt. Balrampur, UP, Age-29 yrs, Jasbir Kumar S/o Tara Chand R/o Vill. Azizpur, Distt. Pathankot, PB Age-25 yrs, and Birjesh Kumar S/o Dharmraj Agarhri R/o Vill. Pur Ganesh Shukal, Distt. Amethi, UP Age-24 yrs. Now all above said three accused have been arrested, who indulged this girl in sexual exploitation by recruiting her for providingher jobinhotel. The rescued girl was sent to Nari Niketan sector 26, Chandigarh.
INTERROGATION : On sustained interrogation it was revealed that Raj @Ramu (owner of hotel Maan) is a Kingpin of this racket and Sunil Kumar (manager of hotel), Jasbir Kumarand Birjesh ( both cook) used to lure poor girls from different states for providing good job in Chandigarh and indulged them in sexual exploitation for their benefit.
The above said accused produced before the Hon’ble Court andonedaypolice remand of accused manager Sunil Kumar S/o Vishwanath R/o Vill. Karmethi, Distt. Balrampur, UP, Age-29Yrs) has been obtained. The other accused namelyJ asbir Kumar & Birjesh Kumar has been sent to judicial custody.
The mainaccusednamely Raj (owner of hotel)/other accused involved in this racket is yet to bearrested and more persons the further investigation is in progress.
