The lie has no legs proved absolutely right in case of former Punjab Chief Secretary VK Janjua, who gets relied by the District Court of Chandigarh in a 14 years old corruption case.

The case was registered with criminal conspiracy and false evidence as the reality came out on the basis of details and location of mobile calls.

While interacting with media at Chandigarh Press Club on Saturday, VK Janjua said that a corruption case was registered against him on November 9, 2009, after which the judicial magistrate of the district court ruled that the case was  registered in a  criminal conspiracy and false evidence.

Janjua said, as per the FIR, it was alleged that the complainant TR Mishra, an industrialist met him at his Mohali residence at 9 A.M.  but he was in Ludhiana at that time. Later, the complainant told the court that Janjua was not present at his house. He said that a DSP of Punjab Police was also a part of  conspiracy. He alleged that the complainant had a plot in Ludhiana and he was then posted as Director of Industries. He said that the complainant had approached him to allot the plot but he refused to do so as it was not possible.

He said that all the evidence was based on phone call records which were later proved to be fake. He said that he has fought the whole case himself and proved himself as honest and truthful.
