Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with enthusiasm at the local Rajyoga Bhawan of Brahma Kumaris here. Center in-charge BK Pushpalata and Rajyoga teacher BK Sunita highlighted the importance of the festival while BK Darshana and BK Shalu played an important role in coordinating the programme.
The chief guest was Mayor Vimal Thatai, the function was presided over by former SMO Dr. Ramesh Verma and Lekhak Parishad chief Raj Sadosh participated as a special guest.
(SUBHEAD)The hall was tastefully decorated with colorful garlands. A kid Ayaan was made to sit in a palanquin on the stage while Muskaan and Aashna were seated in the form of Shri Krishna and Radha. Divyam, Drishti and Amyra were also dressed up as Shri Krishna and Radha.
The 90-minute program started with a dance performance by Pihu on the song Natkhat Kahna. Mehak, Bhavya, Amani, Drishti, Divyanshi, Muskaan and Aashna won a lot of applause while performing dances on the devotional songs. All the artists also participated in a group dance. Mayor Vimal Thatai distributed prizes to the artists.
