The troubles of BJP leader and former Finance Minister Manpreet Badal have increased as the arrest warrant has now been issued against him by Bathinda Court in case registered under sections 420, 409, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of IPC.
The court has ordered Punjab Vigilance Buresu to arrest Manpreet Badal and produce him in the court before the date of hearing.
This order have been issued on Wednesday. The next date of hearing has been fixed for 12 October. 2023.
Manpreet Badal's lawyer had also filed an anticipatory bail petition in Bathinda Court, but later this bail petition was withdrawn.
It was told that this petition was filed while the investigation was going on, but that Vigilance has registered a case against Manpreet Badal, then a fresh bail petition will be filed.
