Northern Railway emerged as the champion in the 65th All India Railway Men Basketball Championship 2023-24 in which the ICF secured 2nd position and Eastern Railway finished at the 3rd positon. General Manager, NR, Shri Shobhan Chaudhuri inaugrated the championship game, organized by NRSA at Karnail Singh, on 25 September 2023.
The championship concluded on 2nd October 2023. A total of 20 teams with 15 members each participated in the games. Secretary/RSPB, Sh. Prem Lochab and Hony. Genl. Secy./NRSA, Sh. Kaustubh Mani were invited as chief guests to award the prizes in the games. Treasurer/NRSA, Sh. Gaurav Shukla and OSD/NRSA, Ms.Sakshi Malik, Sh.JayDev Bisht were also present. Sh.Ram Kumar,Sr.Sports Officer, NWR & Dhyanchand Awardee, Sh.R.C.Singh, NER, Sh.M.K.Sharma and Sh.Vijay Yadav were felicitated for their outstanding services to Indian Railways Basketball on their retirement in the year 2023.
