Appreciating the Rs 550-crore Sehatmand Punjab Project, Abohar MLA Sandeep Jakhar today urged the Chief Minister to also pay attention to the Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital (SDCH) of Abohar.

The MLA said that the SDCH serves 2 constituencies (Abohar and Balluana) and the people here also want to be a part of 'Sehatmand Punjab' but in the civil hospital here, there is no permanent appointment of anaesthesiologist for a long time. Due to these surgeries in the hospital remain suspended and it is proving to be a referral hospital.

He said that the dengue season is about to end but till now the Health Department has not even provided the ELISA machine for tests to the hospital.

“I hope that CM Bhagwant Mann will understand the difficulties of the people of Abohar sub-division and will soon provide the necessary equipment and doctors in the local civil hospital”, he said.
