RAILWAYS BEAT HOSTS BY SEVEN WICKETS, TAKE 1-0 LEAD IN THREE MATCH SERIES

The Railways has taken a 1-0 lead in the Under 23 Men's ODI three-match series by registering a seven-wicket win over Chandigarh in the first match played at Kaimbala on Wednesday. Earlier, the hosts won the toss and decided to bat first.

Team was bundled out for 200 200 runs wherein Nehal Pajni (45) emerged as the top scorer while unbeaten Amit Shukla and Pratham Singh contributed 21-21 runs each. From the opposition side, Daman Deep Singh (2/25) and Hrithik Naik (2/40) took two wickets each. 

In reply, Railways achieved the target in the 29th by losing three wickets. Toufik scored 53 runs in 29 balls while Kush Marathe and Ankit Kumar added 51-51 runs each. Chiragveer Dhindsa (1/18), Shahbaz Singh (1/47) and Arman (1/49) clinched one wicket each.

The second match of the series will be played on 6 October.
