Victoria DiSorboat from Tennessee state was adjudged the winner in the Miss World America pageant that was for the first time owned by Punjabi origin couple Ekta (Abohar) and Sanjay Saini (Ludhiana).
She was crowned by Shree Saini, the first Indian American to win the title, at a glittering function in the Meydenbauer Center Theatre in Bellevue Washington. The winner gets the highest award package in the history of Miss World America. She will represent the United States at 71st Miss World 2023 pageant at Srinagar in India.(SUBHEAD)
61 girls came from all over the USA to compete for the national Pageant. 11 country Queens including Miss World Botswana, Miss World Peru and Miss World Bahamas were among the judges.
The CEO of Miss World Julia Morley came to Seattle to witness the crowning. The reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska also came. Morley, the founder of Miss World BWAP charity, has raised and donated1.3 billion dollars for humanitarian initiatives.
Julia got an award from King Charles a day before Miss World America but she still came to be a part of Miss World America.
She said she wanted to be with her friend Ekta Saini and cheer on Miss World America contestants.
More than 200 people flew in from all over the world to be a part of the show.
Ekta said, “I had a lot of stress and unpleasant circumstances during the last 3 months of preparation for this mega event but did not lose hope.”
