BAN ON POSTINGS AND TRANSFERS OF OFFICERS,OFFICIALS DURING MUNICIPAL BYE-ELECTIONS

Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal today issued a directive to all Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments, instructing them not to transfer officers and officials involved in the upcoming bye-elections in five municipal wards.

These wards include Ward No. 15 of Municipal Council, Sohna, District Gurugram; Ward No. 01 of Municipal Council, Kaithal; Ward No. 16 of Municipal Council, Narnaul, District Mahendragarh; Ward No. 05 of Municipal Committee, Rajound, District Kaithal; and Ward No. 11, Municipal Committee, Bawal, District Rewari. This ban on transfers will remain in effect until the declaration of results for these elections. The polls are scheduled to be held on November 5.

The directive further states that in cases where the transfer of an officer/official involved in these elections are deemed necessary, prior written approval from the State Election Commission is required.
