DESPERATE SHARPSHOOTER BELONGS TO NOTORIOUS NAVEEN @ BALI-NEERAJ BAWANIA GANG, ONE SOPHISTICATED PISTOL WITH THREE LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED

A team of Special Cell/Northern Range, led by Inspr. Puran Pant, Inspr. Kulbir, Inspr. Ravi Tushir, Inspr. Brahma Prakash, and Inspr. Vikram, under the supervision of Sh. Rahul Kumar Singh, ACP, Special Cell/NR Rohini, has arrested a desperate sharpshooter of the notorious Naveen @ Bali-Neeraj Bawania gang, namely Neeraj Kumar @ Nishu @ Bhura, age 29 years, s/o Rajender Kumar r/o Nangloi, Delhi. One sophisticated pistol with three live cartridges of 7.65 calibre has been recovered from his possession. Accordingly, a case under the relevant provisions of law has been registered at PS Special Cell, Delhi, against him.
Meanwhile , Vipin Mittal report from Baddi in Solan Distt. said, on the night of September 6, a miscreant who came in a car outside the hotel MG Regency in Baddi opened fire and escaped after holding a ransom note of one crore from the hotelier.After this, on Thursday last week, the alleged Chikku Tillu gang operatives threatened the hotelier by calling from Tihar Jail and demanded ransom again. Those who have been produced in court have been remanded. DSP Baddi Priyank Gupta confirmed and said that both the accused arrested in the extortion case have been remanded for seven days by the court.
In its efforts of cracking down on rogue operators of criminal syndicates in Delhi/NCR, a team of Northern Range, Special Cell was continuously monitoring the activities of Neeraj Bawania gang manually and technically. In this course, the team identified a desperate sharpshooter of the notorious Naveen Bali-Neeraj Bawania gang, namely Neeraj Kumar @ Nishu @ Bhura, who was involved in extortion activities at the behest of the gang. It came to light through reliable sources that Neeraj Kumar was hiding in the Burari area after an incident of firing outside a hotel in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, in which a demand of Rs. one crore was made from the hotelier. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 238/23 u/s 387/506/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was lodged at PS Baddi (HP).
On November 22, 2023, on the basis of specific information regarding the movement of the above criminal, Neeraj Kumar in the area of Burari, Delhi, the team laid a trap near the CNG testing workshop, Ganda Nala Road, Burari, Delhi.
After coming out on bail in the extortion case of Jhajjar, Haryana, in August 2023, Neeraj @ Nishu came in contact with Naveen @ Bhanja and Chiku through social media apps.Both instructed him to drop a threatening note in the name of the Chiku Tillu gang for a demand of Rs. one crore at any prestigious hotel in Baddi, HP and also instructed him to open fire there to create fear. As per the instructions, Neeraj @ Nishu, along with his associates, handed over a threatening note to the security guard of the M.G. Regency Hotel, Baddi, HP, on September 7, 2023, at about 2:30 AM, wherein a demand of Rs. one crore was made in the name of the Chiku Tillu gang.
At about 2:00 PM, Neeraj Kumar reached there. He was surrounded by the team members, who challenged him to surrender, but, the accused took out his loaded pistol and tried to fire upon the police team to escape from the spot. However, the police team showed great courage and apprehended him after a brief scuffle. One sophisticated pistol and three live cartridges of 7.65 calibre were recovered from his possession.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Neeraj Kumar @ Nishu @ Bhura was born in 1994 at Sonepat, Haryana. He is not married and has studied up to 10th grade only. In the year 2014, he came into contact with bad elements and started committing crimes. He has been previously arrested in six cases, including those of extortion, the Arms Act, and MV theft. After coming out on bail in the extortion case of Jhajjar, Haryana, in August 2023, Neeraj @ Nishu came in contact with Naveen @ Bhanja and Chiku through social media apps.

Neeraj also fired three rounds in the air in front of the hotel to create terror. Naveen @ Bhanja is lodged in a Himachal Jail in a murder case, and Chiku Bakheta is lodged in Tihar Jail. Both Naveen @ Bhanja and Chiku Bakheta were previously arrested in the sensational murder case of a gym trainer in HP.
