Face2News/Chandigarh

Regarding the heinous incident involving the principal of the government school in Uchana, Jind district, and the allegations exchanged in the House between Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala and former Education Minister and Congress MLA, Smt. Geeta Bhukkal, Leader of the House and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the issue is not to cast aspersions on anyone.

He further clarified that once the House has unanimously agreed that the sitting Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court will investigate the case involving the Principal of Government School in Uchana, Jind, the process will have to be completed.

Today, a letter will be written to the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court on behalf of the Home Department. If the Chief Justice declines the proposal that the sitting Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court will investigate the case, the House can reconsider the further course of action, said Sh. Manohar Lal while speaking in the House today.

He said that the ruling party and the opposition will have to maintain the dignity of the House. Opposition always demands an inquiry by a sitting judge on any issue, but on this issue when all members of the House have unanimously agreed to investigate the matter by a sitting judge, now what objection does the Leader of the Opposition have?
