A huge procession was organized with the help of various organizations of the city on the eve of Ayodhya programme in which a large number of male and female devotees participated and made the Yatra a success. The charming tableau of Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita participating in the procession remained the center of attraction. Hundreds of people welcomed the tableaux by showering flowers and women by performing aarti at dozens of places.

The procession started from the main gaushala, the same was led by the sound of bands and deafening shouts of Jai Shri Ram. When this passed through Gaushala Road, Main Bazaar, Circular Road, Jain Chowk, Haqiqat Rai Chowk, Sain Chowk, shopkeepers and other people welcomed the participants in an unprecedented way by showering flowers. During this time, many shopkeepers and women of houses enhanced the beauty of the Yatra by showering flowers from the rooftops. The cooperation of Nari Shakti during the yatra was commendable.

Didi Brahmarita, Managing Director of Brahmrishi Mission Senior Secondary School, said that people should celebrate Diwali by lighting lamps in their homes on January 22. After hundreds of years of struggle, we have got this auspicious opportunity. We should tell children about Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, and make them aware of Ramayana.

As the Yatra reached Shri Sanatan Dharam Mandir, sweet halwa prasad was served by members of Abohar unit of All India Arora-Khatri Punjabi Community, led by local president Naresh Khurana.
