DELHI POLICE NABBED FRAUDSTER FROM KERALA INVOLVED IN FAKE PASSPORT AND VISA RACKET

ACCUSED DUPED VICTIMS ON PRETEXT OF SENDING THEM ABROAD, 2 AGENTS & A PASSENGER TRAVELLING ON FAKE VISA OF SPAIN, WERE ARRESTED EARLIER, THEY KEPT CHANGING LOCATIONS OF THEIR OFFICE AFTER EVERY 4-5 MONTHS. THEY STARTED CHEATING PEOPLE IN ORDER TO EARN EASY MONEY SO AS TO FULFILL THEIR EXPENSES FOR LUXURIOUS LIFESTYLE.

With the arrest of a desperate fraudster namely, Mujeeb PP S/o Mohammad Puthan Parambil, Age- 49 years R/o Puthuparambil, Perasannur, Kuttipuram, Distt. Malappuram, Kerala, Staff of PS IGI Airport busted a fake passport/visa racket registered vide FIR No. 104/2019 U/s 420/468/471 IPC & 12 PP Act PS IGI Airport. They lured victims on pretext of sending them abroad by offering approved visas of foreign countries on cheaper rates. Two agents & a passenger travelling on fake visa of Spain, were arrested earlier. They started cheating innocent people in order to earn easy money so as to fulfill their expenses for luxurious lifestyle.

In case FIR No. 104/2019 U/s 420/468/471 IPC & 12 PP Act, PS IGI Airport, New Delhi, it was alleged that on 14.03.2019, one passenger namely, Vishal Khullar S/o Ashawani Khullar R/o Ashapurna Nagar, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, carrying a passport valid upto 29.08.2026, was given departure immigration clearance to Madrid (Spain) on the strength of Schengen Visa valid from 02.03.2019 to 02.04.2019.

Later, during scrutiny of travel documents of the passenger at boarding gate, the aforesaid Schengen Visa sticker affixed on his passport was detected as counterfeit by Air India security staff. Subsequently, the visa was confirmed counterfeit by Security, Investigation & Fraud Prevention Cell (NR), Air India and the German ALO at Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, New Delhi and has sent an email to Air India confirming it to be counterfeit.(SUBHEAD)

Ms. Usha Rangnani, IPS , Dy. Commissioner of Police, IGI Airport, Delhi said, accordingly, the counterfeit visa was duly cancelled by Air India Security Staff with remarks “FAKE” mentioned on the cancelled counterfeit visa. The pax offloaded and this case was registered regarding the detection of the counterfeit visa affixed in the pax's passport. 

Considering the gravity of offence & sensitivity of case, a dedicated team led by Inspr. Yashpal Singh, SHO/IGI Airport, comprising of SI P R Hudda and ASI Om Prakash was constituted under the close supervision of ACP/IGI Airport and overall supervision of the undersigned. The team was briefed properly and tasked to solve the case and nab the culprit at the earliest.

The team continuously kept surveillance on the accused and in this case, NBW of the accused namely, Mujeeb P P s/o Mohammad Puthan Parambil, age 49 years r/o Puthuparambil, Perasannur, Kuttipuram, District Malappuram, Kerala was obtained and he was arrested from his native place i.e. Kuttipuram, Distt Malppuram, Kerala.

He was produced before the Magistrate of District Courts Tirur, Malappuram, Kerala and on transit remand he has been brought to Delhi and one day PC remand has been obtained.

Accused agent Mujeeb PP disclosed that he was working on commission basis alongwith other agents. He was receiving Rs. 50,000/- for each target/victim. He further admitted for their crime and disclosed that he alongwith his associates started cheating people in order to earn easy money so as to fulfill their expenses for luxurious lifestyle.

Further efforts are being made to scrutinize their bank accounts and to trace their possible involvement in other similar complaints/cases also. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
