RAKSHA RAJYA MANTRI AJAY BHATT REVIEWS THE ACTIVITIES OF ZIRAKPUR AND CHANDIMANDIR MILITARY STATIONS, NCC & TBRL

Shri Ajay Bhatt, Raksha Rajya Mantri (RRM) visited Headquarters Western Command on Monday.

He was briefed on Operational & Security situation and the administrative aspects by Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, AVSM, GOC-in-C Western Command. The RRM also visited 474 Engineer Brigade, where he reviewed on operational capabilities & readiness of the Kharga Sappers. He witnessed the training activities and later interacted with troops of both Zirakpur and Chandimandir military stations.

He commended yeoman service being done by Western Command in running a Rehabilitation Centre at Mohali and a Senior Veterans’ Home at Panchkula. Shri Ajay Bhatt appreciated the operational preparedness and high state of morale of troops of the Western Command and exhorted them to continue to serve and defend the nation with same zeal and enthusiasm.

During his visit to NCC Group HQ, Chandigarh Shri Ajay Bhatt was received by Maj Gen MS Mokha, SM, ADG, NCC Directorate Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh.

The Minister addressed a gathering of 250 NCC cadets along with other officials and exhorted them to excel in all walks of life to become good citizens. He also shared his experience as an NCC cadet with the NCC cadets there. He also enjoyed a cultural programme presented by NCC cadets.

Later, Raksha Rajya Mantri also visited TBRL at Ramgarh also to inspect the R&D activities there. Prof Prateek Kishore , Director TBRL briefed him about various activities of the Laboratory.
