Hundreds of people assembled at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk that was developed in 1966 by the Labour Council and renovated by the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Samajik Manch, Panchkula, under the leadership of Bharat Hiteshi in October 2022 here.
Among those who paid floral tributes to the martyrs were former MLA Arun Narang, Mayor Vimal Thatai, District Planning Board Chairman Sunil Sachdeva, Gaushala president Faquir Chand Goyal, Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh, Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha President Ram Prakash Mittal, All India Arora Khatri Punjabi Community area chief Naresh Khurana, Arorvansh Dharamshala Charitable Trust president Vipan Nagpal, City Congress president Subhash Baghla, Punjabi Sabhyachar Manch chairman SPR Gaba and secretary Ankur Garg, Retired district scout trainer Darshan Chugh, Kali Ishpujani of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Sewa Bharti patron Satpal Gilhotra and president Naresh Baghla, Mandal BJP president Deepak Chhapola, Jatin Dhawan, Raj Narula etc. The stage was moderated by Praveen Chawla and thanks were given by Kulbhushan Hiteshi.
Speakers said that it is an auspicious sign that prominent people of all ideologies shared a platform today to pay tribute to Martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. It is the duty of all of us to guard the goals for which the martyrs made supreme sacrifices.
