Kashish Bakshi, daughter of Major General Praveen Bakshi did proud to the Armed Forces fraternity by securing an All-India Rank of 54 in recently declared results of UPSC CSE 2023.
Kashish was born at Military Hospital Ambala Cantt to Meenakshi Bakshi and Maj Gen Praveen Bakshi who is presently posted at Jaipur. Her mother is a Law graduate and teacher. Her younger brother Yash Bakshi is a Computer Engineer working with TCS, Kolkata.
Kashish has been born and brought up in a typical Armed Forces way of life and like most fauji kids she has studied in ten different schools in seven different states, including Army Public Schools. She did her Class X to Class XII from DPS Bhopal. She has been a meritorious student throughout and scored 10 CGPA in Class X and 95% marks in Class XII.
She has also excelled in various co-curricular activities and has been a finalist in National & International Mooting and Debating Competitions. She had a childhood dream of becoming an IAS Officer which was fostered by her mother’s family of Lawyers, Judicial officers and Civil Servants and father’s family of Army Officers. She started preparing for UPSC after her graduation and scored an AIR of 54 in UPSC CSE 2023.
