ASI Rajesh alongwith officials of District Crime Cell-24 arrested one accused namely Anil Kumar S/o Sh. Dil Bahadur, r/o # 92-A, VIP Enclave, Bishanpura, Zirakpur, Pb. Age 42 years who is involved in reparation and further distribution of the said illicit liquor.
During interrogation accused Anil Disclosed that he is 45% owner of Mars bottlers, situated at Village Shampura, tehsil Haroli, Distt Una, HP (liquor company). He further disclosed that he alongwith the help of Mukesh Sangwan (partner) had prepared the Himachali Santra desi liquor in pet bottles and further the manufactured liquor was supplied in Chandigarh area by a person namely Bawa.
On 08.04.2024, ASI Rajesh along with officials of District Crime Cell-24 was on patrolling duty in UT area for prevention and detection of crime. During patrolling they reached near police colony area sector-26 and on secret information, three accused namely Manoj Kumar s/o Budhi Chand, r/o # 4508, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh, Age 44 years, Ravi s/o Ajit Ram, r/o Village Rewar, Distt Una, Himachal Pradesh, Age 42 years and Kulbir Singh (Liqour contractor) s/o Lal Singh, r/o # 3234, Police Society, Sector-51, Chandigarh, Age 39 years were apprehended and recovered total 2150 Nips of country made liquor “Desi Santra Himachali marka” from them.
All three accused including liquor contractor were arrested and case FIR No.31 dated 08.04.2024, u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act and 420, 120B IPC, PS-26, Chandigarh was registered against them. During investigation, as per disclosure of accused Manoj, ho disclosed that the recovered illicit liquor Himachali Santra was manufactured at Mars bottlers which is situated at Distt. Una, Himachal Pradesh and persons
namely Mukesh Sangwan, Anil Thakur and Bawa were involved in preparation and further distribution of the said illicit liquor. Subsequent to which persons namely ukesh Sangwan, Anil Thakur and Bawa were nominated as accused in the said.
