BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London – popularly known as ‘Neasden Temple’ – has been honoured with the prestigious Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for 2024.

Tripadvisor is the world’s largest travel platform, featuring more than 860 million reviews of attractions and places of interest. More than 450 million travellers use Tripadvisor each month to plan their visits.
The Travellers’ Choice Awards places the Mandir amongst the top 10% ‘things to do’ in the world from more than 8.7 million attractions, experiences, hotels, restaurants, and other places covered on its listing.

(SUBHEAD)The winners of the award are determined by the quality and quantity of travellers’ reviews and ratings over a 12-month period. As explained by Tripadvisor, the award means that the Mandir has received “consistently great reviews” and is among places that “consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence.”

Priya Rathod, a senior BAPS volunteer, said, “It is an honour to be recognised by such a renowned and trusted organisation. The Mandir is, of course, first and foremost a place of Hindu worship, but His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, its creator, envisioned it to be open to people of all faiths and backgrounds, so we are delighted that people from all over the world have been enjoying their visit and finding value in learning about Hinduism and experiencing first-hand the Mandir’s peace, beauty, traditional Indian architecture, and spiritual meaning.”

Hemal Patel, another leading volunteer at the Mandir, said, “His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj teaches and energises us volunteers to welcome everyone who comes to the home of God and to serve them with selflessness, humility, and love. It is humbling to learn how the Mandir has brought such a positive impact among worshippers and visitors from around the world.”
