PANKAJ , SATINDER RAJEEV CLINCHED CEYLON MASTERS INTERNATIONAL BADMINTON TITLE

The Ceylon Masters International Badminton Championship 2024 took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from July 25th to 28th. The prestigious four-day tournament attracted 536 players from 11 countries, including India, China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Australia, the USA, the UAE, Norway, and Canada. Aravinda de Silva, former captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team, was present as the chief guest for the opening ceremony.

Pankaj Naithani and Satinder Malik secured gold medal 35 plus , with Pankaj Naithani also winning silver in Men’s single 40 plus and Satinder Malik also winning silver in 35 plus Rajeev Mehta of Chandigarh, alongside his partner Sunil Bantwal Pai, emerged victorious in the 60+ Men’s Doubles category.

(MOREPIC1) (SUBHEAD)The pair secured the championship title by defeating the pair of Sumardjo of Indonesia and Rohan Fernando of Sri Lanka. Mehta and Pai advanced to the finals after overcoming the Chinese duo of Guoying Qui and Linjun Xie in the semi-finals in two straight games.

Rajeev Mehta, a former national-level badminton player, continues to compete in the Masters category. He represented India in the World Badminton Championships held in Spain in 2021 and South Korea in 2023. He was the top seed at the Sri Lankan event, too.

Several other players from the Tricity also distinguished themselves at the championship. Rajneesh Bhatia earned silver in Men’s Doubles 55+ and bronze in Mixed Doubles 100+. Satpal Agraula claimed gold in the Mixed Doubles 65+ category.

Satinder Malik is employee of Ag Punjab & Pankaj AG Haryana Pankaj represent india in the world championship held in Korea 2021& South Korea 2024. He is silver Medallist in National 2024 . Satinder Malik is also silver medallist in national 2024.
