KISSAN RALLY TODAY: POLICE ISSUED TRAFFIC ALERT, DIVERTED AND RESTRICTED SOME ROUTES

Keeping in view of the Rally being organized by Kissan Union in Chandigarh, the traffic on the following road stretches may be diverted/restricted on 2.9.2024 (Monday)as per ground situation:-

Sarovar Path: From Gaushala Chowk (Sector 44/45-50/51 Chowk) to Burail Chowk (Sector 33/34-44/45 Chowk) to Sector 33/34 Light Point to New Labour Chowk (Sector 33/34-20/21 Chowk).

Sector 34: Traffic on the V-4 road of Sector 34 and V-5 road of Sector 34 A/B i.e Shyam Mall towards T-Point opposite Polka Bakery, near Flower Market and near Dispensary will be diverted/restricted.

Sector 33/34 Light Point to Sector 34/35 Light Point.

Dakshin Marg: any turn onto Sarovar Path is not allowed for the general public.

Shanti Path: Traffic will be redirected from Sector 33/45 Light Point; turn towards Sarovar Path is not allowed.

As left turn for vehicles coming from (Sector 43/44/51-52 Chowk) Mataur Chowk towards Gaushala Chowk (Sector 44/45-50/51 Chowk) is not allowed, people are advised to take left turn on Mataur Chowk itself.

➤ For vehicles coming from Faida Light Point, right turn at Gaushala Chowk (Sector 44/45-50/51 Chowk) is not allowed; people are advised to take right turn at Sector 45/46-49/50 Light Point.

➤ Further, traffic movement may be restricted/diverted at ibid roads stretches as per ground situation in view of ibid rally. The movement of emergency vehicles and hearse van will be facilitated.

Kissan Unions are advised to park their buses/trolleys at the following parking lots:-

Parking lots, Sector 33-D near Market, Open Ground, Sector 44 near Luxmi Narayan Temple, Mandi Ground, Sector 45-D, Dussehra Ground, Sector 46-D

In view of above, general public is advised to adopt the alternate routes to avoid any congestion/inconvenience.

General public is requested to follow the Social Media Account of Chandigarh Traffic Police for real time updates on traffic.

Inconvenience caused to the general public on account of these restrictions is regretted. General public is requested to cooperate with the police.
