Police achieved a major success under the supervision of SSP UT, by arresting two accused of Kidnaping case in Case FIR No. 200 dated 24.09.2024 U/S 140(3),140(4),308(4),61(2),3(5) BNS PS-36 Chandigarh on 24.09.2024.
In this case on 24.09.2024 about 07:20 PM when Police patrolling party reached near gate of Fragrance Garden Sector 36, Chandigarh, they saw one silver colour swift desire Car No. DL1CU2674 in which three persons were sitting, out of which one person sitting on rear seat knocking the glass from inside for help. When they reached near Car driver started the car and tried to escape from there.
On this they follow that car and when the alleged vehicle reached back side of ISBT Sector 43, due to heavy traffic the car suddenly stopped, they rounded up that car and on enquiry, person who was knocking the glass inside, disclosed his name and address as Manish Bangale S/o Leela Dhar Bangale r/o H. No 1320, Rakak park, Behind MJ College District Jalgaon Maharashtra and told that the rest of the persons are Ranjit Singh and Ravi Sharma.
They alongwith their other friends had called him for data scrap on 26 April 2024. He had come to Amritsar on 26 April 2024, to meet them. They forcibly detained him and directed him to transfer the huge amount from many banks’ accounts to their accounts. He denied to do this and the alleged person tortured, beat him and threatened regularly that if he did not do work of money transferring as per their direction, they will eliminate him.
The Accused alongwith their other friends had called him for data scrap on 26 April 2024. He had come to Amritsar on 26 April 2024, to meet them. They kept on changing his location from time to time in Punjab and tortured him daily. He further alleged that Ranjit Singh and Ravi Sharma and their friends illegally detained him without his consent and tortured him by pressurizing him to transfer the amount by hacking unknown bank accounts into their accounts. Since 15.09.2024 he was brought to Hotel Naya Gaon and used to bring him to different location in Chandigarh in order to get the transfer of Money from the accounts of other persons provided by them. Accordingly, the case has been registered.
Arrested accused identified as Ranjit Singh S/o Bachan Singh R/o Vill Marchowal, Teh. Batala, Gurdaspur age 50 yrs and Ravi Sharma S/o Dharampal R/o 66, Ward No 6 Sarahala Road Gadiwala Distt
Hosiarpur, PB age 35 yrs.
CRIMINAL HISTORY OF ACCUSED Total Nine cases cheating, and forgery have been found registered against Ranjit Singh, 05 cases of Amritsar, 01 case of Ludhiana (PB), 02 cases of Shimla and 01 case of Solan (HP), whereas No Criminal history has been found of Ravi Sharma
They have been produced in the Court and three days Police custody Remand has been obtained. Further Investigation is in progress and teams have been sent for search of other accused
