The staff of Police Station Mehrauli, South District has done commendable work by apprehending a woman in case e-FIR No. 80105163/24, dt. 19/09/2024, u/s 305 B.N.S. PS Mehrauli, Delhi. Upon her instance, the stolen jewellery i.e 01 Gold Chain (40 grams), 01 Gold Kada (60 grams) and 01 artificial Chain were recovered.
A complainant (YouTuber/Influencer), aged 32 years r/o Kishangarh, New Delhi, reported at PS Mehrauli that he had received messages on a social media platform from a woman posing as a fan, and they began chatting. On 18/09/24, the woman insisted on meeting the complainant under the pretext of taking photos/videos with his expensive jewelry.
Consequently, the complainant agreed and asked her to come to his office in Chhatarpur, Delhi. During the interaction, the female follower asked to wear the YouTuber's heavy gold jewelry for the photos. Trusting the fan, the YouTuber obliged.
After the photos/Videos were taken and on getting a chance, the follower disappeared with the jewelry, leaving the YouTuber shocked as the YouTuber was busy on his phone call. The accused lady cleverly traps the complainant and took away his Gold Jewellery i.e. 01 Gold Chain (40 grams), 01 Gold Kada (60 grams) and 01 Artificial Chain. On the statement of the complainant a case vide e-FIR No. 80105163/24 U/s 305 B.N.S. was registered and investigation was taken up.
Keeping in view the gravity of the case, a team consisting of SI Ashutosh Mishra, HC Avinash, W/Ct. Beena Meena led by SHO/Mehrauli under overall supervision of ACP/Mehrauli Sh Vijay Kumar was formed to investigate the matter and nab the alleged female follower.
Sh. Ankit Chauhan, IPS, DCP, South Distt., said, during the course of investigation, the complainant was thoroughly questioned and collected more details about the whole incident. Further, the details of Social Media Account were obtained and meticulously analyzed. CCTV footage of the place where the alleged lady came were thoroughly analyzed. The team worked on all the available aspects of the case. From the detailed enquiry of all the facts of the case, the team succeeded in getting the whole details related to the alleged lady.
Through surveillance and technical analysis the location of the woman was zeroed down at Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Immediately, a team was dispatched there and she was apprehended. Upon her instance, 01 Gold Chain (40 grams), One Gold Kada (60 grams) and 01 Artificial Chain were recovered from Jhajjar, Haryana. During interrogation she disclosed that she want to live a lavish life. Hence she had stolen the jewellery.
The accused woman identified as resident of R/o Gurugram, Haryana. Permanent r/o Jhajjar, Haryana. Age 21 yrs.
