MCM HOLDS SESSION ON CYBER SWACCHTA

The Viksit Bharat Abhiyan Committee and Swachhta Committee (Commerce) of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, organised a session on ‘Cyber Swacchta’. The session aimed to promote digital hygiene and online safety awareness.

The resource person Dr. Minakshi Rana, Coordinator, Cyber Security Cell of the college, focussed on cyber awareness and provided information pertaining to protection from cyber threats. Various cyber crimes including phishing, cyber extortion, cyber bullying and harassment, etc. were discussed.

(MOREPIC1)(SUBHEAD)She emphasised the need for individuals to take responsibility for their digital footprint and adopt best practices to ensure their online security. The event was attended by around 130 students and faculty members. The attendees showed keen interest in the topic and engaged in a productive interactive session with the speaker.

Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava appreciated the efforts of the coordinators to create a digitally aware and responsible society. She added that 'Think before you click' is an essential aspect of our overall well-being, and the institution will continue to organise such sessions to promote digital literacy.
