TWO ACCUSED INCLUDING A SUPPLIER AND OWNER OF FACTORY OF ILLEGAL WEAPONS, ARRESTED

A team of Central Range, Crime Branch headed by Inspr. Gaurav Choudhary comprising of SI Yashpal Singh, SI Rishi Kumar, ASI Munawar Khan, ASI Arunpal, HC Ankur and Ct. Sohanveer under the supervision of Sh. Pankaj Arora, ACP/Central Range, Crime, Sh. Rakesh Paweriya, DCP Crime and overall supervision of Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, IPS, Addl.CP/Crime, carried out an operation and busted a factory of manufacturing of illegal weapons which was found running in Meerut, UP.
Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police, Crime, said, 14 country made pistols, 41 Barrels and 8 manufacturing Tools of country made pistols recovered have been recovered. A supplier of illegal weapon was also arrested who was apprehended along with two country made pistols and six live cartridges and total of 16 country made weapons, 41 Barrels and 08 manufacturing tools have been recovered.
(SUBHEAD)Based on a secret input, a team of Central Range, Crime headed by Inspr. Gaurav Choudhary carried out an operation under the supervision of Sh. Pankaj Arora, ACP/Central Range, Sh. Rakesh Paweriya, DCP/Crime and overall supervision of Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, IPS, Addl. CP/Crime, Delhi and apprehended one Ikram, a resident of Meerut UP, age – 40 years who came to Delhi to supply illegal weapons to some criminals. Two country made pistols and six live cartridges were recovered from his possession. A case under Arms Act was registered and he was arrested accordingly. Further Investigation taken up.
On sustained interrogation, accused Ikram disclosed that he procured weapons from one Mashook Ali R/o Meerut. The facts disclosed by the accused Ikram were further verified and developed. On the basis of technical surveillance and at the instance of accused Ikram, the team succeeded in apprehending Mashook Ali, from Meerut City. After sustained interrogation he was arrested in this case.
He was put to sustained interrogation and on his instance, team raided an isolated Flat in Kashi ram Colony, Meerut, UP where a factory was set by him for manufacturing the illegal weapons. 14 country made pistols, 41 Barrels and 8 Tools, used for manufacturing the illegal weapons, were recovered from there. He also confessed that he manufactured more than 80 country made pistols.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED: Accused Mashook Ali studied upto 10th standard. He runs a mobile shop and previously involved in many criminal cases of Arms Act, Cheating/, Forgery Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019 etc.
Further investigation/interrogation is in progress.
