TWO ARRESTED WITH ILLEGAL FIREARMS AND HEROIN

The sleuths belonging to Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) have nabbed two persons and have recovered five pistols along with 26 live rounds, 100 gram heroin one car.

Divulging details, SSP Saumya Mishra said that following the inputs a naka had been laid near Kunde village. “The accused, identified as Sagar alias Teji, resident of city area and Manpreet Singh alias Money resident of Sher Khan village in Kulgarhi block, were coming in a I-20 car (HR 13 M 6560).

(SUBHEAD)During the frisking of the car, five pistols along with 26 live rounds and 100 gram heroin were recovered”, said SSP adding that out of the five pistols recovered, 3 pistols are of .32 bore and 2 pistols are of .30 bore

The SSP said that one of the accused Manpreet Singh had been booked by the police in a murder case in April last year at Mallanwala police station (FIR No. 45). “The accused will be produced in the court for police remand so that the forward and backward links in this case could be investigated”, said SSP.

The accused had been booked under NDPS and Arms Act at Sadar police station (FIR No. 171 Dated 13.10.2024).
