TWO ACCUSED/TRADERS AND A DRIVER WHO USED TO SUPPLY THESE BANNED CRACKERS IN DELHI NCR WERE ARRESTED.

Team of Insp. Pukhraj Singh, NR-I, Crime Branch, Prashant Vihar, Delhi has busted supply chain of illegal fire crackers trade in different areas of Delhi. 1323 kg banned crackers were seized from 2 godowns. The owner of both godowns and driver who used to supply the illicit fire crackers in Delhi & NCR were arrested and case FIR No. 202/24, U/S-288 BNS and 9B of Explosive Act- 1884 was registered
On 11/10/24, a secret information regarding running a racket of illegal fire crackers trade in Village Baprola, Outer Delhi. Information was further developed through field sources. It was revealed that accused Manoj Kumar is running an illegal trade of banned fire crackers in Vill. Baprola, Delhi and he further supplies these illegal fire crackers in all over Delhi.
On receipt of the above said information raid was conducted at the godown in Village Baprola and recovered a huge quantity of illegal fire crackers from here. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 202/24, U/S-288 BNS and 9B of Explosive Act-1884 was registered and investigation was taken up.
(SUBHEAD)Mr. Satish Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, said, during the course of investigation, the accused Manoj Kumar along with Sanjay Atri (driver of the offending vehicle DL-1-LP-7813 Mahendra Pick Up, by which he used to supply the illegal fire crackers in all over Delhi) were arrested.
During interrogation with the accused/driver of offending vehicle, he revealed that he used to supply the banned fire crackers in the area of Prem Nagar, Kirari also and hence on his instance, a raid was also conducted at a godown situated at Main Majri Road, Roop Vihar, Mubarakpur Dabas, Kirari, Delhi. A huge cache of illegal fire crackers were also recovered from there.
During investigation the owner of godown, Mr. Vipin Kumar was also arrested. A total of 1323 kg illegal fire crackers were recovered during entire operation.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Manoj Kumar s/o Ishwar Dass r/o JJ Colony-2, Nangloi, Delhi, Age 40 years is a graduate and he doing illegal business of banned fire crackers since lockdown., Sanjay Atri s/o Mahavir r/o Vill. Kilai, Distt. Rohtak, Haryana, he is illiterate and working as a driver in supply of fire crackers since last 3 years, Vipin Kumar s/o Pawan Kumar r/o Sector-1, Rohini, Delhi, he is 10th pass and he is also doing this illegal business since last 3 years in the area of Prem Nagar, Kirari, Delhi.
