The Central Bureau of Investigation is deeply saddened to learn the demise of Shri PC Sharma, former Director, CBI. CBI extends its deepest condolence & sympathy to the bereaved family and prays to the Almighty to give the family the strength & fortitude to bear their loss at this time of great sorrow.
Shri Praveen Sood, Director, CBI has said “Heartfelt condolences of entire CBI fraternity are with the bereaved family in this hour of intense grief. May the soul of Shri PC Sharma rest in peace”.
Shri P C Sharma was an IPS officer of 1966 batch from Assam- Meghalaya cadre. He was Director, CBI from 30.04.2001 to 06.12.2003. Prior to it, he had also served in CBI as SP, DIG, Joint Director, Additional Director and Special Director.
He will be remembered for rendering yeoman service to CBI for 21 years.
