DURING SEARCH Rs. 3.79 CRORE CASH RECOVERED

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) apprehended accused Legal Officer of Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), GNCTD, Delhi for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 5 lakh from complainant.
CBI had registered a case on 07.11.2024 against two accused including Legal Officer of Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), GNCTD, Private Person and other unknown persons on the basis of complaint dated 04.11.2024. It was alleged that accused Legal Officer demanded bribe of Rs. 40 lakh from complainant in the name of other officer of DUSIB for getting his two shops unsealed and allowed him to run the shops unhinderdly.
CBI laid a trap on 07.11.2024 and caught accused Legal Officer of DUSIB, GNCTD red handed while accepting bribe amount of Rs. 05 lakh from complainant.
CBI also conducted search at residential premises of accused which led to recovery of Rs. 3.79 crore cash and some property documents.Investigation is continuing.
