CBI ARRESTS TWO ACCUSED INCLUDING INSPECTOR OF CENTRAL BUREAU OF NARCOTICS (CBN), CHITTORGARH & MIDDLEMAN FOR DEMANDING AND ACCEPTING BRIBE OF RS 3 LAKH

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two accused including Inspector of Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) & a middleman (Private Person) for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.3 lakh from the complainant.Face2News/Chittorgarh (Rajasthan).

A case was registered by CBI on 20.11.2024 against accused Inspector of Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) Chittorgarh & unknown others on allegations that accused demanded bribe of Rs. 20 Lacs from the complainant for disposal of case against him / his clinic. Later, accused demanded bribe of Rs. 8 lakh.

CBI laid a trap and caught a middleman red – handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 03 Lakh on behalf of accused Inspector of CBN, Chittorgarh (Rajasthan). Subsequently both the accused persons were arrested.

CBI conducted searches at the residential and official premises of the accused Inspector at Chittorgarh & Bikaner (Rajasthan) which led to recovery of incriminating documents. Investigation is continuing.
