TWO SOPHISTICATED ILLICIT PISTOLS OF .32 BORE AND 22 LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION. NE MOTORCYCLE USED BY THE ASSAILANTS IN INCIDENT ALSO TRACED

A team of TYR, Special Cell, led by Inspectors Rahul Kumar and Vineet Kumar, under the close supervision of ACP/TYR Special Cell, Sh. Kailash Singh Bisht has arrested two shooters namely Abhishek Kumar @ Harshu and Vikrant @ Vicky involved in the firing at Petrol Pump, Gokalpuri, Delhi on 15/11/2024. The arrested accused identified are Abhishek Kumar @ Harshu S/o Parvesh Kumar R/o-Johripur Extension, Delhi Age-22 years, Vikrant Kumar @ Vicky S/o Umesh Kumar R/o Johripur Extension, Delhi Age-23 Years.
Recovery : 01 illicit pistol of .32 bore, one separate magazine and 08 live cartridges, 01 illicit pistol, one separate magazine and 14 live cartridges used in firing at petrol pump Gokalpuri Delhi.One Splendor motorcycle used in commission of crime.
In the night of 15.11.2024, a firing incident had taken place at petrol pump, Gokalpuri Village, Delhi, wherein four assailants on two motorcycles fired 16-18 rounds. Anshul Rathee, supervisor of the petrol pump, had got injured in the incident. In this regard, a case FIR No. 406/2024, dated 16.11.2024, U/s 109(1)/3(5) and 25/27 Arms Act, PS Gokalpuri, Delhi (North-East District) was registered.
Mr. Amit Kaushik, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, said, the Trans Yamuna Range of Special Cell of Delhi Police has been working round-the-clock to thwart the nefarious designs of such anti-social elements. Team of Insp Rahul Kumar of Special Cell was formed to nab the assailants. The team analyzed CCTV footages of the incoming route and escaping route of assailants. Accordingly, information about local criminals active in area was being collected through various sources. The activity of such criminals was also monitored who are previously arrested in such incident.
The persistent efforts made by the TYR team paid off when on 19.11.2024, specific input was received that two desperate criminals involved in Gokalpuri Petrol Pump firing incident will come near Khichdipur Village, Delhi to meet their associate and should have illegal weapons and can commit some offence. Consequently, a raiding team was formed which laid a trap and two persons namely Abhishek Kumar @ Harshu and Vikrant @ Vicky were apprehended and 01 illicit pistol of .32 bore, one separate magazine and 08 live cartridges were recovered from their possession. On their instance another 01 illicit pistol of .32 bore, one separate magazine and 14 live cartridges were recovered from the house of accused Vikrant @ Vicky.
On their instance, the place where they left Splendor motorcycle used in the firing was also identified. On enquiry from local persons it is revealed that local public informed about one abandoned motorcycle to the local police of police station Loni Border. The same motorcycle was found deposited in police station Loni Border. On enquiry, Splendor motorcycle was found stolen from the area PS Sarai Rohilla, Delhi on 03.05.2024 and a case was registered vide EFIR No. 12684/2024. Thus total 02 illicit pistols of .32 bore and 22 live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
Gist of Interrogation: Last year accused Abhishek @ Harshu came in contact with gangster Kala Jatheri. Kala Jatheri further introduced him to Johny. On 15/11/2024 Johny directed Abhishek to reach Loni Bus depot and assist his associates in firing on a petrol pump in lieu of Rs. 50,000/-. Abhishek along with his friend Vikrant @ Vicky went to Loni bus depot, Uttar Pradesh. There two boys (Ankit and Deepak) met them on two bikes one Splendor and one Apache. Ankit and Deepak handed them two loaded pistols and two separate loaded magazines and splendor bike having UP number plate. Ankit and Deepak shifted on Apache bike.
All four persons (Abhishek Kumar @ Harshu, Vikrant Kumar @ Vicky, Deepak and Ankit) reached at petrol pump, Gokalpuri and fired at petrol pump. After incident they fled to Haryana. On 19.11.2024, they reached Khichdipur Village, Delhi to meet their associates, meanwhile they were nabbed by the police party.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Accused Vikrant @ Vicky was born on 02.08.2002 at his native place at Baghpat, UP. He studied up to 9th standard and left studies in 2019. After leaving studies he started searching job. In 2022, he started running a parking lot at Johripur, Ext., Delhi in his private plot. While running the parking lot, he came in contact with local bad elements. In the year 2023, he closed the parking lot and started working as recovery agent. In 2023, he committed four crimes and was arrested by UP Police. He was involved in Delhi and UP in henious crime.
Accused Abhishek @ Harshu was born on 02.02.2004 at his parental place at Johripur Enclave, PS Gokalpuri, Delhi. After completion of his graduation, he came in contact with gangster Kala Jatheri over Signal App.
A case vide FIR No. 524/2024 dated 19.11.2024 u/s 25 Arms Act PS Special Cell has been registered in this regard. Further investigation is in progress to unearth theforward and backward linkages of this network.
