CBI NABS HEAD CONSTABLE OF DELHI POLICE ON ACCEPTING BRIBE OF RS. 2 LAKH, SUB INSPECTOR AND ASI SUSPENDED

Central Investigation of Bureau (CBI) on Monday apprehended an accused Head Constable of Delhi Police, posted at Police Station, Anti Narcotics Task Force(ANTF), Crime Branch, Old Kotwali, Daryaganj, Delhi for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 2 lakh from the complainant .

CBI registered a regular case against a Sub Inspector(SI) of Delhi Police and an Assistant Sub-Inspector(ASI), both posted at Police Station, Anti Narcotics Task Force(ANTF), Crime Branch, Old Kotwali, Daryaganj, Delhi on the basis of a complaint. It was alleged that accused SI and ASI demanded bribe of Rs. 2 lakh from complainant for not implicating him falsely in a case. 

CBI laid a trap today and caught accused Head Constable red handed while accepting bribe amount of Rs. 2 lakhs from the complainant on behalf of Sub Inspector and Asstt. Sub Inspector.

During a trap CBI caught Sanjay Kumar, Head Constable, red handed while demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs. 2 Lakh, on behalf of SI Sanjeev Kumar & ASI Kirori Mal, both from PS Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Crime Branch, Old Kotwali, Daryaganj, Delhi Police, for not implicating complainant in a case registered in ANTF Crime Branch.

SI Sanjeev Kumar & ASI Kirori Mal, both from PS Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Crime Branch have been suspended and their supervising inspector pankaj has been sent to police lines. CBI further investigating the matter and the Head Constable is being interrogated.
