Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today attended a blood donation, eye checkup and health checkup camp organized at Mata Mansa Devi Gaushala on the occasion of 73rd birth anniversary of former Union Minister and Ambala MP late Sh. Rattan Lal Kataria.
Along with this, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a Pakshi Niwas in the Mata Mansa Devi Gaushala premises. The Chief Minister also flagged off the Arogya Bike for health services in Morni area and inspected the Kalam Express Ambulance for children with special needs.
While talking to the media, the Chief Minister said there is no greater donation than blood donation. Blood is an important link in saving life. Everyone should donate blood voluntarily. He said Sh. Rattan Lal Kataria was a wonderful person. I had the experience of working with him for a long time. He still rules the hearts of people due to his language and style.
He was a fearless speaker and had no animosity towards anyone. Today's camp is a camp of his memories. As an MP, Sh. Rattan Lal Kataria had made a special mark in the hearts of people in Ambala and Panchkula areas. Today, with the efforts of his wife Smt. Banto Kataria, a blood donation, eye checkup and health checkup mega camp has been organized in his memory, the Chief Minister said.
More than 200 units of blood were collected in this blood donation camp organized in collaboration with Red Cross Society, Civil Hospital, Panchkula and Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Sector-46, Chandigarh. The Chief Minister encouraged the youth who donated blood and also interacted with them. Many youth have voluntarily donated blood more than 20 times. Such youth also inspire others to donate blood, he said.
The Chief Minister said he himself has had the opportunity to work with Sh. Kataria as an MP. He said the spirit with which Sh. Kataria used to do social service is being carried forward by Smt. Banto Kataria today.

BJP government has done one and a half times more work than Congress: CM
In response to a question, the Chief Minister said since 2014, the BJP government has done one and a half times more development work than the Congress government in the last 10 years and as a result of this, people have formed the BJP government for the third consecutive time in Haryana. He said he will go among the people constituency-wise and thank them for forming the BJP government for the third time. An action plan for this is being prepared.
He said Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi always works in the interest of farmers. Farmers are being given 70 to 90 per cent subsidy for micro-irrigation projects. He said the Supreme Court has already given a decision that Haryana should get the SYL water but the issue is not being resolved due to politics.
The Chief Minister said the Supreme Court has also praised Haryana on the management of stubble. We are buying all crops in Haryana on MSP. Farmers have also benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana is another unique scheme of Haryana where the difference in the crops which are not bought on MSP is paid to the farmers under Bhavantar Bharpai. He said a sunflower oil mill is being set up in Shahbad and a mustard oil mill in Rewari.
In response to a question regarding the urban local body elections, the Chief Minister said as and when the Haryana State Election Commission announces it, we will be ready for the elections.
Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma, Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, former Speaker of Assembly Sh. Gian Chand Gupta and officials of the district administration were present on the occasion.
