50 CRORES EMBEZZLEMENT CASE: FARIDABAD ACB TEAM RAIDED HOUSE OF RETD ACCOUNT OFFICER OF PANCHAYAT RAJ DEPTT., RECOVERED CASH OF 3.65 CRORES

The team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Faridabad raided the house of retired Account Officer of Panchayati Raj Department. Meanwhile, the ACB team has arrested 3 accused while exposing the scam of 50 crore rupees. This case is related to BDPO office, Hasanpur, District Palwal, where government funds were embezzled through a private firm. According to the information received, ACB has found cash worth Rs 3.65 crore and gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 6 lakh 65 thousand from the house. The team arrested former officer Shamsher Singh. In this action, the police has also arrested the clerk and the accountant.

According to ACB, the panchayat department had complained that some officials were involved in corruption.

The Chief Accountant General (Principal Accountant General) of the state had submitted a report in this regard. In which said that the login ID of the Chief Accounts Officer of the department without proper authority and approval for the financial year

ACB registered an FIR on January 24 on this complaint. Rakesh Kumar, clerk of BDPO office at Hasanpur in Palwal district, was nominated in this. Along with him, the disputed firm M/s Deepak Manpower Service, officers and employees of Hasanpur BDPO office, Palwal DDPO office, department office director and other private persons were accused. Sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act were also introduced along with the IT Act 2000.

Acting after this, the ACB team arrested Rakesh Kumar on January 25. The team produced the accused in the court and remanded him till January 31
