UT BOYS END THEIR U- 23 ODI CAMPAIGN ON A LOSING NOTE, LOST TO TN BY 92 RUNS

UT boys finished their Under 23 ODI tournament on a losing note as Tamil Nadu beat Chandigarh by 92 runs at Trivandrum (Kerala) on Wednesday. Tamil Nadu has topped the pool and qualified for the knockout round. Chandigarh registered four wins in six matches and slipped down to third position with consecutive last two defeats in the tournament.

Earlier, Tamil Nadu won the toss and decided to bat first. The half-centurians – Ajithesh G (73), captain Vimal Kumar (65) and Madhav Prasad (57) – helped team to pile up a daunting task of 345/9. Nikhil (3/40) took three wickets while Jaskirat and Neel shared two wickets each. 

In reply, Chandigarh was bundled out for 253 runs in the 46th over. Devang Kaushik (79) was the top scorer for the team while unbeaten Jaskirt Singh added 46 runs.
