UT boys failed to defend a massive total of 316 as Vidarbha beat Chandigarh by five wickets at the ongoing Vijay Hazare tournament being played at Vizag.

After winning the toss, Vidarbha decided to field first. Skipper Manan Vohra scored his second century in the tournament and laid the strong foundation for the team. Manan scored 101 runs with the help of three sixes and five fours in 117 balls, while unbeaten Ankit Kaushik (59) and Amrit Lubana (58) aptly supported their skipper with 315/4 on the board.

Shivam Bhambri also added 44 runs. In reply, opposition captain Karun Nair proved too good for his team with his century knock of 163. Dhruv Shorey also scored 57 and brought the team to the loss of five wickets in 48th over.
