As part of Harit Mahakumbh 2025, the Hariawal Punjab team marked a remarkable achievement in the "Ek Thaila, Ek Thali" mission on January 7, 2025. In an inspiring effort to promote environmental sustainability at the Mahakumbh, Hariawal Punjab, led by convener Mr. Parveen Kumar, has taken a major step by sending thousands of eco-friendly items to Prayagraj.
The first consignment includes a truck loaded with a total of 16,500 steel glasses and 27,000 steel thalis, all made in Jagadhari, Haryana. These items are being sent to reduce single-use plastic and encourage a greener approach during the festival. More trucks are being prepared to be sent shortly before Maha Kumbh 2025 takes place.
The transportation of these items was made possible thanks to Agrawal Packers and Movers, who provided their services free of charge. The items were carefully packed and shipped from the Industrial Area in Panchkula..Hariawal Punjab also expressed their heartfelt thanks to Agrawal Packers and Movers for their generous contribution, covering the entire cost of shipping. Their support has been crucial in making this eco-friendly initiative possible.
Several prominent individuals were present to show their support for the cause. From Fatehgarh Sahib, Sandeep Kashyap, Seema Dhir, Usha Mahawar, and Shashi Garg participated in the event. Additionally, members of Sewa Bharti have joined forces with Hariawal Punjab, helping to make this initiative a reality. In Chandigarh, Rajinder Jain, Dr. Pradeep Sharma, Vinod Bansal, and Prashant ji were also involved. Amit Kalia, Tarsem, Bhupinder Bhatia, Winner, and Dr. Ajay Gandhi represented Mohali, and from Panchkula, Manoj Sharma, Ashok, and Ravinder joined in. These supporters took part in the special puja ceremony for the steel items and ensured that they were safely transported to Prayagraj.
