Chandigarh Olympic Association organized a kit distribution & Flag off ceremony of Chandigarh Olympic contingent for participating in the 38th National Games starting from 28th January 2025 till 14th February 2025. A total of 230 strong contingent from Chandigarh will participate of which Athletes from Archery, Athletics, Boxing, Cycling, Fencing, Gymnastics, Judo, Kayaking and Canoeing, Netball, Rowing, Rafting, Shooting, Squash, Volleyball, Weightlifting. Wrestling, Wusu, Yogasana games will take part along with Support Staff and technical officials.
Rajiv Sharma senior vice president of Chandigarh Olympic Association and KDS Nagra is the chef de mission and deputy chef de mission of the Chandigarh Contingent.
(SUBHEAD)Speaking at the function Dr Anmol Rattan Sidhu President of Chandigarh Olympic Association said that Chandigarh is expecting one medal each from every game. N S Thakur secretary general of COA welcomed all the guests.
Director Sports Sourabh Arora was the Chief Guest. He unveiled the sports kit and flagged off the Chandigarh contingent. The function was held at the Sports Complex judo hall at Sector 34, Chandigarh. Joint Director of Sports Dr Mahender Singh, CK Jerath from Boxing, KDS Nagra from Weightlifting, Gurmeet Singh from Cycling were among the guests present in the function. Balloons were set free during the ceremony, to represent the spirit of goodwill in the games.
