THE 38TH NATIONAL GAMES OF INDIA, HELD ACROSS VARIOUS VENUES IN UTTARAKHAND CONCLUDES

The 38th National Games of India, held across various venues in Uttarakhand, concluded on a grand note with a spectacular closing ceremony. Taking place from January 28 to February 14, 2025, the event saw exceptional display of athleticism, dedication, and sportsmanship.

Chandigarh City finish 21st in National Games medal tally all over India with 19 medals.

The service control board topped the medal tally and Maharashtra came on second position and Haryana at third in medal tally.

Speaking here to the media Chef de mission of Chandigarh Rajiv Sharma said that Chandigarh won 4 Gold in total,  Two silver and three bronze in Boxing, Four in wrestling (one solver and three Bronze) two in Tekwondo (one gold, one silver), a gold and bronze in Judo, A silver and bronze in Wushu one Gold medal in weightlifting and other in Yogasana, a silver in Kabadi and a bronze in fencing.

(SUBHEAD)President Chandigarh Olympic association Dr Anmol Rattan Sidhu Senior advocate and former Advocate general Punjab made a special visit to Dehradoon to boost the morale of Chandigarh players and officials.

Chandigarh Chef de mission Rajiv Sharma who is also honorary secretary of Chandigarh Rowing association met the President Indian Olympic Association  Dr PT Usha who is also a Rajya Sabha member and discussed the development of games in Chandigarh in detail.

Secretary General of Chandigarh Olympic Association N.S Thakur congratulated the medal winners and express satisfaction for successful participation of the Chandigarh players in the 38th National games at Uttrakhand. President COA Dr Anmol Rattan Sidhu said that Chandigarh Olympic Association will soon honor the medal winners of National games along with their coaches.
