“BORDERMEN MARATHON 2025” TEAM FLAGGED OFF AT CIVIC ACTION PROGRAMME

A Civic Action Programme was organized at Govt Primary Smart School at village Maujam in AOR of BOP Maujam Base, Ex-19 Bn BSF. The event was inaugurated by Sunil Soibam, Comdt 19 Bn BSF in the presence of officers and other ranks. 

The event was attended by villagers from Mahar Sona, Muhar Jamsher, Rattewala Bhaini, Jhangar Bhaini, Teja Ruhela, Gulaba Bhaini, Maujam, Fazilka and Abohar including Sarpanches. Additionally, 42 participants from various villages and 24 participants from 19 Bn BSF of the upcoming Bordermen Marathon were present. 

(SUBHEAD)During the programme, 42 pairs of sports shoes worth Rs 26,292 were distributed among the participants who will participate in the Bordermen Marathon on 23 Feb' in Amritsar covering a distance of 42 Kms, 21 Kms and 10 Kms. 

Sunil Soibam, Commandant, hailed the enthusiasm and patriotic spirit of the Youth and encouraged them to contribute to the progress of the country. He also emphasized the importance of education in our life and requested the villagers to encourage their children in their studies and also to participate in sports activities for mental and physical growth. He also reminded local people that BSF is committed to provide all kinds of assistance for their wellbeing. 

Following the conclusion of the programme, Commandant Sunil Soibam flagged off the participants for their onward journey to Amritsar for the Bordermen Marathon-2025
